i have warn standerd locks on my truck thay froze up on my and i had my little bro heat them and malted the plastic dial and i hated them from day one so i want the best one i can get super winch warn peraium or milemaker so my q? is witch lock out and or why not why are the milemarker locks so cheep
They are not built as well as the warn (mine appeared to be potted metal on the dials) AND they replace and leave out some parts compared to the Ford OEM on my 70s trucks. That being said, I never broke a Mile Marker on any vehicle, but, I do not do extreme like most and the biggest tire on my personal 4x4s has been 33s.
one would think that warn's winch quality would parralel it's locking hub quality, and the same with mile marker.
i think I need new hubs soon anyways. the stock ones I have like to unlock by themselves sometimes I think....or maybe I just forget to lock one in?
vary true the mile marker are 50 bucks cheeper so why pay warn if the milemarker are just as good .i want to paint my truck so that 50 could go to that project i just hate spending money stupidly
I've never had issues with Warn's, I didn't even know Dynatrac made hubs. Axle componets, I suppose they would make hubs too right? Those are probably pretty decent.
On hubs in warn products? Are they the old hubs with all metal componets or the newer with lighter parts. I like the older stuff. Busted many warn premium hubs and don't use anymore. Strong motor and 40" hawgs will pop them everytime. Dynatrac hubs little expensive but if you want to buy a set of hubs that can take some abuse that a warn/milemarker couldn't even dream about dynatrac is the way to go. Personally reccomend and run on truck. Haven't broke yet. Sometimes when you pop a hub could mean a long day stuck or just stuck and stranded in my world. Winches are my final savior when hubs pop.
I bought one set of Warn hubs from a local 4 wheel parts for $120 because they offer a LIFETIME no questions asked warranty. Under the assumption that, if you go offroad, you will break stuff; this is always a plus for me. I have 4 other trucks here with the D44 axle under them in which I bought Warn locking hubs for at Advance Auto for $99. Advance only offers a 1 year warranty. But if any of them break for any reason, I take them to 4 Wheel Parts and they give me a brand new set off the shelf. The milemarker hubs do not come with the lifetime warranty from anywhere I've found. Neither do the $300 set the offroad magazines advertise but hopefully thats because they dont break.
