Truck or car engine
Recently I bought a '65 F-100. Trying to be sure I know exactly what the engine is. It has a 302 in it (valve cover says it's a 1973. Is there a difference between a truck and a car engine and, if so, what are the differences???? Thanks...

there are not a whole lot of differences, other than a 302 did not come in a truck until about 68. some truck 302s are reported to HD rods. the clutch will be an 11" in a truck, 10.5" in a car 302. the 2wd truck oil pan has the drain plug in the rear of the front sump; a car has the drain plug on the side of the sump.
