Hi, and welcome aboard! By "awd" I'm guessing you mean the full time New Process 203 transfer case. Full time 4wd and no locking hubs, right? I believe you can still buy the conversion kits to make them part time 4wd. if you search the site a bit you will be able to find out where to get one. Personally, I like the NP205 part time case better because it is all gear driven and has no chain to stretch or break. It is a very strong transfer case. Probably the strongest stock one you can put in your truck. I had a NP203 with the conversion kit in my '78 Bronco and it exploded just driving down the road in 2wd. Apparently once they are converted they do not get proper oiling to the back end and unless you lock in the hubs frequently to keep that part oiled ( by virtue of the front shaft turning those parts), The dry out and...explode.
