Engine Missing when cold
Is there any thing I can do to help my truck run better when its cold...the truck starts right up and starts to miss I drive about two miles and it starts clearing up and runs good. its only about 25deg when I leave for work.
I would like to plug it in but can`t get it close to the house.

try the new reflash from the dealer. You may find out that you have some injectors going south wich the reflash may or may not help but it is the cheepist attempt to fix.
also try a thinner oil. Lots on here seem to like the 5-40 syn oil.

Here is how you go about getting the new flash from the dealer for free!
First, you got to dress properly.
Heavy overcoat, long length, kind of like Morpheus wore in the Matrix.
Wear nothing underneath, not even underwear.
Then go to the dealer reception desk, and quickly undo the coat and hold both sides open with your hands.
The flash will do wonders for you.

Mine does the same thing.
Additional symptom: if you let it get real warm (max temp), pull into a parking lot, in D, you will notice engine surge. Mild surge, but surge the same.
In some cases, mine coded P0404 (EGR) or Turbo Underboost.
Hypothesis: EGR valve sticking, or turbo vanes sticking.
In these cases, I clear the code, then do "Italian tuneup". Then it does not appear again for a while.
If you run with the codes on, it goes into limp mode and mileage plunges.
Ideas?

those are the same symptons my 03 had it didnt matter what the temp was it would not move until it warmed up get the flash done it is like a new truck after that i couldnt believe the difference i have had it since last summer and i am very happy with it

Mine was flashed October 30, 09.
It helped cold starting, but the other problems remained.

In Detail
- will not pull out of driveway when first cranked outside temp cold or hot
- IF YOU TRY TO MOVE IT . It just smokes kind of a light blue smoke smells like raw fuel and you do not have any throotle response after 2000 rpm's
- After letting it sit after warmed up shut off for about 20-30 mins. Or you can let it idle for may be 5-10 mins. and it will act the same .
- No codes I have snap-on (blue point) scanner lt seems to be better suited for gas engines But will read 6.0 codes and clear them
- It did show a ICP a few months back and would idle wierd I changed sensor and plug cleared code and engine idled fine

98% certain it is one or both of these things.
I had exactly the same thing --- will not even roll off the line past 10mph.
A) EGR valve stuck wide open or something.
B) Turbo vanes jammed or Turbo itself jammed.
Solution:
Turn it off, go have a coffee, and clear any codes when you come back.
Then if it works.... get it as warm as you can (10 to 20miles drive).
Then, Italian tuneup the thing.
I fixed my problem each time.
Serious fix: wait for spring, then pull EGR valve, turbo, etc. and start diagnostics and repair or replace.
