Is there any thing I can do to help my truck run better when its cold...the truck starts right up and starts to miss I drive about two miles and it starts clearing up and runs good. its only about 25deg when I leave for work.
I would like to plug it in but can`t get it close to the house.
try the new reflash from the dealer. You may find out that you have some injectors going south wich the reflash may or may not help but it is the cheepist attempt to fix.
also try a thinner oil. Lots on here seem to like the 5-40 syn oil.

Mine acts the same way, will do allright if you let it warm GOD HELP ME IN CASE OF A EMERGENCY!!! Because even in warm weather it will not move out of it own tracks until it has ran for at least 5 min. I also noticed that during the the day if you shut it off for maybe 20-30min. It will smoke and stumble for awhile?? This is a 03 250 work truck weighs approx.10,600 lbs. at all times. So I have to pull off the side of road untill it clears up (frustrating and dangerous) NO CODES from my scanner or at dealer, Dealer did have a few suggestion's( Clean Turbo and if that doesn't work maybe an Injector issue?) I have had all the latest flashes , syn. oil , ICP sensor replaced, Filters ,etc. I am planning on cleaning turbo when the weather gets better or I can or have to shut it down during the week.

Mine does the same thing.
Additional symptom: if you let it get real warm (max temp), pull into a parking lot, in D, you will notice engine surge. Mild surge, but surge the same.
In some cases, mine coded P0404 (EGR) or Turbo Underboost.
Hypothesis: EGR valve sticking, or turbo vanes sticking.
In these cases, I clear the code, then do "Italian tuneup". Then it does not appear again for a while.
If you run with the codes on, it goes into limp mode and mileage plunges.
those are the same symptons my 03 had it didnt matter what the temp was it would not move until it warmed up get the flash done it is like a new truck after that i couldnt believe the difference i have had it since last summer and i am very happy with it

Mine was flashed October 30, 09.
It helped cold starting, but the other problems remained.
