Removing the thermostat or installing a lower temp thermostat.
Deactivating the Exhaust Back Pressure valve on the turbo.

How many of us dont have a working EBPV!!!!!!!!!!!
While i have never seen severe wet stacking in a psd (cyl wash down)
I have seen the buildup it will get on the valves. This can cause a sticking
valve and have seen the buildup flake off and get in between the valve and valve seat.

Op.
Correct. With the damper aligned to the cps it will bleed down the lifters
on the rocker install.
Was the bad rod on the intake or exhaust?(severe bent)

so, assuming they go exhaust - intake from front to back, (correct?) the one that broke was the exhaust and the severely bent one was the intake.
