hi, i just recently got my 2003 f250 6.0l diesel back from the dealer as they had to replace an ipr valve. i just noticed after i got it back, the heater only blows on defrost. no matter what position my heater **** is on it will not change. is there some kind of vacuum they may have knocked off while putting in new valve or do u think i need a new ****? and info. will be appreciated...thanks
Yes, they have cut a hose or left one off. the pump is on the pass side inner fender, behind the battery. When you put the key on you can hear it running, there are hoses coming off there, I would check that first, but tracing further can be a PITA. I would take it back for them to fix it, you can troubleshoot yourself but why, they did the work and you paid for it....
the pump is on the other side of the truck from the ipr valve. there is no reason to tuch it durring the repair. The vacuum pumps are knowen to die or worse get stuck running
