Not a ford
Ok in my far flung trading deals I have traded for a 56 or 57 jimmy single axle truck with a 471 jimmy and 5spd single axle air brakes.
I finally went to look at it christmas day and the body is suprisingly good no dents except for a small one in the running board, no rust except a very small amount of surface rust. Now this is my problem it runs good and would be an easy restore but I have no use for a restored 57 jimmy.
I do have two late model running gear setups out of #1 a late model school bus with air brakes on disc brakes, #2 a large motor home running gear setup that has hydraulic brakes also disc brakes all around and 10 hole 19.5 wheels. I also have a 2 stick 5 and 4 setup I have been saving that would be slick in this rig and give me overdrive in either one of these drivetrain setups.
What I am thinking is with late model running gear and suspension this would make a pretty unique 5th wheel puller.
Any other ideas to do with this rig it is way too good to scrap.
