Fluid Film
Fluid Film is also one of our sight sponsors as well.
I can provide you with most of the information on Fluid Film, and what it does here if you have any questions.
You'll never be able to keep them open. haha.
Fluid Film is a Lanolin based lubricant.
It is environmentally friendly and safe being that it is a natural base.
It's a rust preventative, and highly water resistant. Moreso then silicone.
As in water doesn't wash it away very well. So you can use this in water valves and stuff and they will stay lubricated. It's pretty neat.
Thus being so water resistant, it is used in a lot of snow applications.
If you coated the inside of your snow blower with this stuff, it would throw snow like no tomorrow, due to the snow having nothing to stick too, and it will take a long while for it to wear away.
Great in locks that freeze up, because it doesn't' freeze.
Well, it probably does, but I haven't seen it freeze up yet.
I am trying it out on my guitar to see if it will keep the corrosion down on the strings.
They like to corrode up from the oil on your fingers.
It's pretty decent at braking bolts loose. But you gotta let em soak longer then say PB blaster would have too. But PB blaster will drip off, and the fluid film will stick.
I use it on tools and hinges and stuff like that mostly, or hard weathered components.
I sprayed some on the plow of my 4wheeler, but haven't tried it yet.
Gonna go spray some in the snow blower here in a minute and go to town.
Neighbor just did this the other day. Has a big one on a tractor. was plugging up. He cleaned it out and sprayed it down with fluid film.
Now mind you, if you plug up a big 2 stage snow blower with a lot of HP behind it, the snow is pretty damn heavy.
He said he's never seen it shoot snow that far.
Yea, I know it all sounds gimicky.
It's not.
How many lubricants out there are mostly natural?
wd40 is just fish oil based, but wont lubricate anywhere close to what fluid film does.
Hmm. was just looking on the can to see if it said how much of it is natural lanolyn.
and it says vehicle undercoating.....
I'm thinking my truck could use some too!
And, with it being so water resistant, it wont come off very easily.
I'll tell you the truth on lanolin.
The stuff is really slippery.
It makes my board slippery when i sheer, my hand slippery, wrists, shoes, pants, everything. In its natural off the sheep formula, (with salt add you and dirt)
To wear rubber shoes to sheer all day on plywood is suicide if you want to stay in one spot.
The sheep will even make cement slippery, not just smooth cement, I'm talking brushed cement.
Need I say more? What besides a thick coat of oil makes brushed cement slippery?
So, when I get done sheering for the day. If i wash my hands with just hot water, the dirt and everything will wash off, but the lanolin will stay right on my hands.

Due to forum rules. You have to PM me if you want a can, I can't openly sell it in the forums.
I can get you the aerosol cans, 1 gal and 5 gal buckets.
I cannot afford to mail out the samples, I actually wont make any money on this either. Just want to make sure good products are out there for other gear heads.
But, i'll tell it to you this way, if you want to go to the JD Dealer and buy it, its like 8-9 a can.
Im getting it to you for less then that plus shipping. (suckage on shipping)
In all seriousness, if anyone who hasn't tried it and lives in the US would like to try a free sample, just PM me your contact info and I'll take care of it.
