acorn nuts for mirrors?
I recently acquired a set of original mini west coast mirrors for my 67. The brackets, mirrors etc are perfect. The acorn nuts are rusted beyond use. I soaked them over a few days in liquid wrench and took one side apart.
Now for the question. Would these acorn nuts, bolts and little screws to hold the outside mirror trim together been stainless or just plated? Does anyone have a source for this sort of part?

I used stainless acorn nuts, plain stainless nuts, and 1x5/16" stainless studs. The studs have one end fitted for an allen wrench, you can get all these at a Fastenal or other fastener-oriented hardware store or (for three times as much) at a boat shop.
