I think you guys are missing the point . I run synthetic in my 04 & my 95 , but in my older work truck i use the reg 10-30 & it just works better , so its just what works best for each truck.... Lew
How do you know it works better, or is this just a "I think it does so it does" sort of thing? Have you had the oil tested running the two different types of oil in it?
No i don't get my info off the internet or testing , just personal experiance . Like i said above , an old motor with 275,000 miles on it , the high mileage oil works better in that truck , So thats what i use in it , im not going to reseal the motor when its just leaking a few drops , not worth it to me for an old work truck ....Where do you get your info ??? ... Lew

I get my information from actual experience and oil analysis from oil labs, not what I "feel" is better.
Thats cool Wut ? I run synthetic in my 04 work truck & my 95 race truck because i "feel" its good , but not going to run it in my old 93 6 cly beater work truck because i "feel" its a waste of money JMO...Lew

If you don't want to use expensive oil because it's more expensive, that's understandable. It's just not fair for you to say it's "better" to all the people that read this and just believe it.

I've watched the commercials about z-max on hp tv. I also googled z-max and found a court action FTC vs z-max from early 90s. In the writeup against company's performance claims it stated z-max was a mixture of mineral oil and blue dye. Not that that is bad; but is it that good? I also just recently used Lucas and I don't think I will do that again.
