What do you guys think of the Bully Dog 6 position chip? I found one a guy is selling for 200 bucks. I wasn't really all that interested in putting a chip in my truck, but if I can talk him down some, It could be an option.
I wouldnt waste your time with it. If you want a chip spend a few dollars more and get a quality one as most of the off the shelf ones are designed for the general user and are very light on their programming sometime scary bad on it too, and sell for more than the custom chips.
x2 what oversize said, don't waste your hard earned money on an off the shelf chip when you could save up a little bit more and get a custom made chip for your truck that will blow that bully dog chit outta the water.
like everyone else said dont waste your time with bullydog. if money is the issue, its not on dp tuners website but you can send them your computer and they will burn a custom program on it for 75 bucks. i had the 16position chip on another truck and i used the 80 econo tune 98% of the time so on my new truck im just going to get the pcm flashed. my 80econo dp tuner tune blew my buddys edge etreme "120hp tune" out of the water got 19+mpg and unbelievably low egts even when towing ts performance and dp-tuner are the two best
I have had the bullydog chip for 3 years now. I absolutely hate it. I have a Tw 6 pos. to go in im just waiting on a reburn. I wouldnt suggest buying the bullydog. Just my opinion though.
When I got my truck it was chipped already , it had some hot tunes from the PO ..When the chipped was murdered (It got pulled with the key on , took out the PCM also ) I replaced it with a generic chip ,( so so tunes) .
Anyway , the chip had a sticker on it from the guy that programmed it , I took the sticker off to save it . Underneath his sticker, it said Bully Dog ....
