Truck rescue update
Got the truck home with a tow chain today. Blew out the engine compartment. The PO said it had a radiator leak so I put my pressure tester on it and it would not even pump up. So we poured water in the radiator only to see it pouring out the side of the engine as fast as we put it in. Freeze plug has come out. Now I am thinking the radiator leaked and the PO was just pouring water in it till he decided to park it at which time it now had just water and no glycol. I am fully expecting the block to be cracked but will try to install a new plug and see what happens. It has been parked since 2004. We don't normally get really hard freezes but every now and then we get a pipe buster. I hope Murphy will give me one this time.
