FE Ignition Up-Grade
I installed a Pertronix points conversion in my 66 FE352. This conversion was really easy. And the results were immediate and positive, smoother idle, quicker starts and a little more power. Using the tech article on this site for guidance, I installed the big distributor cap and 8mm plug wires. Again improved idle, stronger running engine. I installed Autolite Platinum plugs gaped at 45. Fired her up and she sounded a little weak! Tonight I’ll install a Mallory coil. I expect the big coil will help fire that big air gap in the plugs. I bought all the parts I needed for this ignition up-grade from my local parts store.
