08-10 bumper on a earlier sd with sensors

I put a 08-10 rear bumper on my 05 and everything fits fine, my truck and the new bumper has back up sensors. But the new bumper just has the holes, can you just buy the plastic inserts for the sensors or do you have to buy the complete units? my plastic pieces for the sensors wont work in the new bumper (angle and locating tabs are different), has anyone done this? Thanks

Happy Holidays:

Not sure if this helps, but any Home Depot or Lowes type store have many plastic covers of different sizes and shapes in their hardware isle. I have used them before for many projects, they mostly come in black or white. This should be an ideal solution for your current problem. The covers have a locking mechanism so it will not pop out, as long as you get the right size.

Good luck

the sensors are listed seperately but at 80 to 90 a piece it quickly makes the bumper swap costly

update, the inserts/retainer are avaiable from ford and the sensors are the same as the older trucks the part numbers are 7C3Z-15K861-A 7C3Z-15K861-B 7C3Z-15K861-C 7C3Z-15K861-D that is for the 4 posistions on the rear bumper and they were $4.82 each my cost.
