Hey guys either my headlights are dim, and need replaced, or they need adjusted. Is there an easy way to adjust the angle of the lights on these model Fords?
Dont know the spec's, but something like you park so many feet from a wall. Draw a vertical line a horizontal line so many feet high etc.. Again not sure of all the spec's, but if you do it incorrectly you'll be blinding on coming traffic.
Thanks for the help, but I actually meant is it possible to do so on our model trucks, and if so how is it done? Like what tools do I need, and where is the adjustment made at?
Sweet thats exactly what I wanted to know. I didn't even know you could adjust the headlights until I saw my uncle adjust his on a 01 Grand Cherokee. He had to use an allen wrench, so I figured if an 83 F-150 could be adjusted it would probably be easier than his Jeep. Thanks guys.
Yes, they even have special headlamp adjusters that can be attached to the headlights, that use mirrors, levels and marks, and the new ones even use lazer beams to get them exactly right. I used them before in autoshop when I was a youngster.
Simular to how they do a four wheel alighnment nowdays....
