M5OD

I have 2000 ranger 3.0 Flex fuel with 5 speed.... Trans on way out what years will fit my year and was there any difference between the 5sp in the 2.3 3.0 4.0 I see alot of 5 speeds out there but there matched up with the 2.3 and early years like 95 96 looking for a newer one with low miles. I know I had 92 with a 2.3 M5OD they look the same but heard somewhere that the M5OD behind the 3.0 and 4.0 where beefed up to handle the extra power. If someone can let me know some info

You're gonna need a M505 from a 3.0L Ranger, regardless. A tranny from a 4.0L or 2.3L won't bolt up.

As far as I know, any 3.0L M50D should work, going all the way back to '91. But I can't be 100% certain of that.

Hopefully someone who knows more about the M50D can confirm this.

Same gear ratios (3.72 / 2.20 / 1.50 / 1.00 / 0.79) through the years for the 3.0L version.
