New Member 5th Truck Need New Ideas

I just purchased a 1975 F100 Custome with a 390 for 200 and drove it home the next day i got to tinkerin with it and fixed all my lights, fixed all the hacked wires but now my transmission aint shifting right i beleive its because the transmission rod that is usually hooked to the carb, isnt hooked to the carb. I have alot of vaccume lines unhooked and a rear main seal shot. Im thinking of taking the standard out of a 1991 Ford F150 with a 5.0 out and putting it in just customizing the pedals to work in the old truck. Will the brake booster and brakes lines work?

should be a vac line running to the tranny modulator, hows the fluid level? only thing the kickdown rod does, is downshift when you mash the gas to pass

Are those two switches to the left of the steering column stock? I ask because I have some holes in the dash in my '75 at about that location.
