LSD? How do I know?

Hello. I have a 2009 F250 XL crew cab with 5.4L and 4x4 with manual locking hubs (none of the ESOF stuff). I've been reading about limited slip differentials in this forum, but I don't know how to determine if I have LSD. Can someone please tell me how to figure this out?

Thanks!

The tech folder is good for pre-2008 super duties. Look on the sticker on the door jamb. You will see axel and a 2 digit code, if one of the digits is a letter you have limited slip. For example my 2009 F-350 V10 has a axel code of 4N which is 4.10LS. If your is 4N than you have the same gear I do. If it is not LS it will be just two numbers.

Hope this helps

Thanks to both of you for your replies to my post. I checked and my axle code is 37, so looks like no LSD for me. I wonder if this also means I have the 3.73 vs. the 4.10 axle that I read about?

Do you all know of any other places in this forum where all the tech stuff that Yeti posted is updated for 2009 and later trucks? I noticed a couple codes in my VIN didn't match up either. No big deal, just interesting stuff to read.

Thanks again for helping me figure out my axle.

You could google it or just crawl under the truck. My 2003 has a sticker on the axel itself that said 3.73. I have not gone under my 09' to see if it has a sticker.
