Airbag sensor location?

Airbag sensor location?
I would like to install a grille guard on my '99 Explorer. I had it on my '92, but I think I can make it fit. My question is, if I drill holes into the bumper will it affect the opperation of the airbag sensors? Where are the airbag sensors located? Thank you.

There are two front sensors on your '99 and they are located on either side of the radiator on the radiator core support. In the illustration you can see the radiator and cooler to the right/rear of the sensor. It looks like there is a hose w/clamp going to the sensor but it is in fact to the cooler. Mounting the grille guard and drilling into your front bumper will not affect the sensors.
