I am trying to disassemble my manual hubs to replace the o-rings and lube. This is on a 2000 F350 V10. I have the bearing and gears out, how do I get out the plastic/nylon piece that the large spring seats in? I need to do this because the o-ring behind the cam is broken and half falling out. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
I have already checked that website out. The hubs on the website are autolocking, mine are manual. The plastic piece I am referring to is not the same as the one in the hubs on that website. It does not have the slots that he uses to remove it.
I've spent the last 45 minutes searching the web and couldn't find anything specific to your task at hand. You may be able to "gleen" some information from the links below.
