Hub O Ring Seal

ok my front manual hubs have been leaking for quite a while. for the life of me i cant find the orings anywhere, that is without paying $25.00 for a kit, which is stupid seeing as all i need are the two orings. 1990 f150

I had the same trouble. Removed hubs, put a bead of silicone around the lip of the hub, let it dry, reinstalled hubs. No more grease leaking out/water leaking in and since I had the silicone in the tool box already it cost me nothing.

A tractor dealer or heavy truck parts place should be able to size one up for a few bucks.

I have a local hardware store with a Huge assortment of o Rings . I use them often , they are only a mile from my shop . Try an old school hardware store ... Just a thought !

well what i found is that the hub bolts to a gear inside that has a big C-clip. that C-clip can move slightly forward and backwards. i guess after time of doing that it would cause it to leak. both sides do it.
