97 F250 7.3 PS 4x4 - Started fine yesterday, but then backed out of drive and tried to head down the road. Just runs off the idle, no effect by pushing pedal. At least had enough idle fuel to get me back in my driveway!
I don't know where to start, under dash or under hood? but was told these have some sort of electrical connection instead of pedal linkage (I have only worked on old gas trucks with real linkage
Listen for a faint click when you push the pedal....
X2 Welcome.
If they are plugged in, unplugg them, clean up very well, put a little of dielectric grease and connect them again and make a try. good luck.
Thanks, I made sure all connections were tight, checked and tightened all fuses. Now it revs with pedal. But now it is idling a little rough. I'm going to drain fuel filter and see if that helps. Thanks again.
