replacing auto tranny
I am planning on replacing my blown tranny with another one. It is a used remaned tranny don't know what is in it all I know it is out of a 95 2wd dually exactly like mine it worked when the truck was fine and best of all it was only $200! i only do some light hauling and towing so I am not in need of a super heavy duty tranny anyway... I am plannin on slidin the bad tranny out and the good one in I have new seals pan gasket and filter for the tranny I was wondering if their is anything else I should be doing or thinking about before I do the swap thanks

I'll give you the tip that the best way to get the top two bolts between the block and transmission is to tip the back of the transmission & engine down and then go at them from the driver's side from below.
Detach the shroud from the radiator first so the fan isn't driven in the shroud.
