That is quite an impressive list of Ford trucks there, NumberDummy.
Which was your favorite?
Which was you least favorite?
And why?
Which one do you think looked the best, and then which one rode the best?
The most reliable?
Most favorite: 1971 F100 Ranger XLT, which IMO was the best looking of all of them.
Least Favorite: 2004 F150 Lariat Crew Cab. 6 warranty claims the first year. One for the trans that went the first week, 5 for the 2 front brake rotors that had to be replaced FIVE times due to brake judder.
Most reliable: All but the 2004, because none of the others had ANY warranty claims.
Never paid much attention to the ride, but the 1968 F250 Ranger prolly rode the hardest. I also made the mistake of buying this truck with a 4 speed, which I soon realized was not the kind of trans one wants when driving in LA LA Land's in-famous stop & go traffic.
Well, here it is. This is my rendering of what I want my truck to look like...stripe and all. It may be a bit different from the drawing because I haven't decided 100% on the color just yet. It will either be this way (metallic blue with white stripes and white wagon wheel rims), or it will end up being a dark "gun metal" metallic gray with the stripes being jet black and the rims would then be black Cragar Soft 8's. Thanks to everyone for all the info and help to locate the actual stripe that I originally thought was for a bumpside.
The paint code is 3m so I assume Mexican red with Wimbledon white. Anyone have a restored image so I can see its original color instead of 34 year old sun beat orange Paint chip match sheet
Little to much snow this year lol. Drove it out. Getting it ready to design it’s front bumper.

The 1972 F-250 Explorer I had driven, was a Camper Special as well, so why not?
But the rules changed each year, and yes they were seasonal. Only made for a few months each year. They didn't even feature in the regular sales brochure. They had a brochure all their own when avaliable.
My favorite though is the 1976 Explorers, with the 1975's being a close second.
Anyway, before this gets into a explorer debate, glad that you found the stripe you wanted...

Your responding to a 10 year old post that hasn't had anything added to it in 5 years. You might get a response.
