Problem with being in idle

Hi guys I just bought 2008 limited edition. I noticed that when the truck is idle the engine has a squeal sound coming from it. When I give it gas, the noise goes away. I also noticed it goes away when its warmed up. I do live in the northeast and its a bit cold (if that helps). What could it be?

Little late coming in on this, but you might try using a large screwdriver to locate the noise.

Obviously you have to be careful, but put the blade on a staionary part of something that you suspect, and put your ear on the handle. Watch for moving parts! I usually close my ear flap when I do this. (No good reason)

You will hear alternator noise for sure -- I never tried an idler
