when you are driving you are driving on YOUR license and not the companys, many State SnowPlow operators have their insurance dropped and are uninsurable because of so many cars running into their plows while out in storms, I was a highway snowplow operator for a number of years when I 'retired' and I got hit five times in three years with drivers running into my wings, even with lights on them they do it, especially when plowing left turning lanes and the U turns. My insurance dropped me and still to this day I am under the very very high premium HIGH RISK class insurance.
when the company throws you under the bus, you can either get rolled over or run the bus back over.
you make it clear to them that you are a company man, you will never let anyone know the ****ty deal they can and will pull on other drivers, BUT in order to be such a Gung-Ho company man you will need to be greased well in order to remain squeak free, a FAT 1inch thick envelope of cash will do the trick.
you will likely be fired or laid off for it, but you're going that route anyway with your "bad attitude" over wanting the company to be fair! LOL

make no mistake my friend, they will sell you down the river, crap can you tomorrow, or simply down size, merge or otherwise leave you behind in a NY minute.
Don't even think otherwise. Bottom line is this is the way it is, you drive on YOUR OWN license, always will too, and if the truck didnt have all the brakes working you would be held responsible for that, uninsured? overweight? not licensed in that state? missing a tire? your fault..you are the operator, its your responsibility to make sure the registration and paperwork is in order same as its your responsibility to make sure the trucks pass the pre-trip inspection.
you make good money and you'd be flat out stupid in this economy to toss that job over a learning day you had.
welcome to the big leagues Son, it happens to us all! Welcome!
