Well I ended up buying a 02' 4dr 4wd, 4.0 engine. from original owner, runs & rides very nice; I don't like that there is no transmission dipstick. I would rather service it myself if possible.

Well i have a 94 with the 4.0 and AOD tranny. Mine has 145,000 miles on the original tranny and motor. My opinion on them is that if u use them for a daily driver and not pulling anything the trannys will last but im still not a big fan of them. I guess some are good and some are junk.

Well, today I was able to service the tranny myself, changed fluid and filter, have to use Mercon V. No dipstick but a fill plug 5/16" allen wrench will fit, on right rear side of transmission on 4wd models, so I drained the transmission from drain plug, ,(glad they came with this), and measured how much came out total then after installing filter, cleaning pan and re-installing that, I got a 7 ft clear plastic 3/8" hose with a plastic cap/spout from a rear end oil bottle, and got all the fluid back in, shifts are quicker and is running sooth, no leaks.
