does anyone have one for the 2010 6.4 yet? called edge an they said they were not done testing yet. my brother has a 2008 and said it took care of his problems and added 2mpg. dont have any problems yet but would like the 2mpg. thanks.
what is dpf delete ? had 2000 7.3 before. this emission stuff is all new for me. i am a farmer from indiana. no emission police around here that i have heard of anyway. thanks.
yea they told me that i would need to take pipe back off . i will do all my own service work . and i had a 2000 f350 7.3 for 9 years i bought new and never hard any warrenty work done. thanks
I don't understand why someone would spend the money for the tuner, dpf delete pipe and take a chance on warrenty work. I figured the cost of fuel savings by going that route and figured it would take years to break even. This was when fuel was $ 4.50 gal.
One would have to put on alot of mileage each year to warrent this. Enlighten me if I'm wrong.

If the goal is fuel saving alone then you are correct. It would take years.
In the ops case, he is a farmer so I can understand his need right away.
In my case I did it to give it a little power, run a tad more effiecent and because I could. Will I ever recoup my cost, maybe or maybe not. Not a concern to me.
If you're gunna burn all that fuel anyway, you may as well have the power too. Once you do it, it'll be like the V-8 commercials ( slap your forehead ) and think "why didn't I do this sooner"? Fuel savings is only part of it. It's efficiency and "fun factor" as well.
I wouldnt want the DPF on a farm either(not that I like it on the road either but such is life). If you take the truck in the fields with 1,400 EGT's youre bound to set your field on fire.
Aside from that the benefits of deleting the DPF are better MPG, better performance, less fuel in the oil, lower EGT's, and if youre not working the truck hard (like those of us that dont tow in the winter) the truck starts to run like crap as you fill the DPF and fail to get a really hot regen.
Other than the warranty concern I cant find a down side to removing it. Just wish I had the balz to do it
