Self Adjusting Brakes?
I have a 74 F-250 with drums on all four corners. I was told my truck may have self adjusting brakes. Anyone know if this may be true? If so how do I ensure that they are adjusting themselves properly. My front driverside wheel pulls left hard when I try to stop.

Self Adjusting Brakes?
I have a 78 F-150 4X4 with drum brakes on back. They are self adjusting. To adjust them I removed the little rubber plug on the backside of the wheel. With the tires of the ground I use a screw driver to adjust the adjustment screw. You spin a little gear looking wheel up or down to adjust it. I adjusted it until the brakes just started draging when I spun the tire with my hand. After doing this with both wheels, I got in my truck and would tap my brakes while going in reverse down my drive way. This is suppose to self adjust the brakes. You might have to back up and tap the brakes several time. The trick is not to leave the adjustment screw too tight or loose before letting it self adjust.
