Factory Big Block

Does anyone know if Ford ever put a big block in a 78 or 79 4 wheel drive half ton?I'm buying a parts truck from a guy he claims it has a factory 460.I havent seen the truck yet, it is a 78 1/2 ton 4 buy.

No the only V-8s that you could get was 351M or 400 i dont think you could get the 360 or 390 either.

THE 460 WAS AVAILABLE IN THE 2WD ONLY. 1983 WAS THE FIRST YEAR A 460 WAS AVAILABLE IN A 4X4.

360/390 went out of production in '76.

it did come in the 3/4 ton and is relativly easy to swap in..

on and by the way... i dont drive too fast.. i just fly low
