cheap upgrades

I just picked up a 94 5.0 to put into my 86 f150 efi. im looking to do some cheap upgrades to this new motor to help the truck out a little bit.i was thinking along the lines of long tubes,cam,and heads.i have been reading up on the gt40 p heads but im not sure if the plug angle will work with long tubes?ive been looking at maybe an e303 cam but am not sure what would be best.thanks

this sounds good just don't use the P heads. do a search in the 302 section you'll find a lot of info there on you engine... oh don't forget the gears!!!

my next question would be if i cant find a decent set of gt40 heads is there any other ones that will work good with that cam?
