input.?....

looking at a 2000 expedition xlt 4x4 with 63000 miles.....any input or advise or things to look out for ???

the back side of the head gaskets leaking oil

Fordtech is correct Right above the starter see if you can see any oil leaking. Aso check the blend doors to make sure they are working, front and back if it has rear heat and cooling. Listen real carefully to the rear axle for any noise. Make sure the transfer case is shifting. These are some of the things I have found on my 1999. I really like the truck 63000 miles is real low good luck.

LOOK ALL OVER THE UNDERSIDE FOR RUST. REAR CONTROL ARMS, DIFF COVER, CORE SUPPORT, and DOORS. I JUST BOUGHT A NAVIGATOR, AND LOOKED AT A DOZEN OTHER BEFORE THIS ONE. I LIVE IN INDIANA WHERE THERE IS A LOT OF SALT USED.
