gauge and 10k mod question

iam going to install a pryo soon; where is the best place to put the temp probe, and what are safe EGTs? also, every truck runs drifferent with different ohms, 10, 15 20k etc... Is this related to the calibration code in the door jamb? mine is 7-90a and seems to like the 15k the best.

For the pyro installation drill the hole on driverside manifold right before it makes the connection to the up pipe but kinda closer to the last cylinder. There is a flat spot on it that makes it perfect.

1250 is the magic number that you do not want to cross for EGTs. Short bursts above that is not a problem, but you will see higher EGT's with the ICP mod.

The ICP has nothing to do with door codes. Start with 10k and move up until the truck starts to run erractic or falls on its face. All engines are just a little different.
