wiring problems
i was wondering does the wirinr harness unplug from the fuse panel inside the cab on a 86 F250 i had a wire that got shorted and burn from under the hood into the cab so need a lil info on this subject please ok i got to look at it and it doesnt unplug but i have one wire that got hot and it melted all the way into the cab and out to the plug under the hood now i have located it i seperated it from all the others and checked the others made a jumper over the plug the one red wire has some stripes but not sure what color they are but it killed every thing under the hood the truck will not do any thing so i got to figure out where this wire goes and isolate it and find the problem any suggestions welcome who ever had this truck before removed the V8 and put a 300-6 in it so there are wires hanging all over the place I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET !!!!!! LOL

i think i have narrowed it down to the switch being bad or the starter locked up because i noticed you dont have to have a key to start it you can just turn the switch all the way to the start position without a key in it i dont think its supposed to do that lol
