A Texan's first snows! (In WVA!)
I grew up in Texas and have seen snow once or twice. It wasn't really "snow" though.. more like mini flakes that don't stick or amount to anything. More like a teaser.
I've been in WVA about 7 months now. There have been some things I've had to get used to. One is the food. God bless you people, I love WVA, but ya'll can't cook. I'm sorry but it's true! Ha ha! The people here are wonderful though. I love this place.
The biggest thing I've had to get used to is SNOW. Holy Crap. It's all one big learning lesson for me. Much of it painful!
1) I've discovered you can't manipulate snow for long with no gloves on. That HURTS.
2) Never study the beautiful white puffs of snow on a tree's branches - while standing directly underneath said tree. Again, this can result in some serious pain. Those beautiful little puffs might look all soft, but they're NOT!
3) It's much easier to fall down while walking on ice. Owch.
4) I've learned not to forget that snow melts. Just because I'm dressed for it doesn't mean I should be careless about snow getting down my shirt. Oh my that's cold..
5) NEVER, NEVER, NEVER stand close to the road as a snow plow truck plows the road. Just 'cause you're waving and grinning like an idiot doesn't mean the truck driver is feeling quite so giddy. No, he does not slow down. Ow..
hahaha! I could go on and on. I'm like a little boy seeing it all for the first time. I feel giddy every time I put on my rubber boots and step out in it.
Anyway here's some pictures!
(not our house, but a neighbor's)

My truck! Barried! Underneath this MYSTICAL WHITE STUFF!!! WHAT IS IT!??!!?!??!!

Daisy and Mia playing in the snow! Bruno doesn't give a spit about it.. he's inside, warming his old bones!

The new truck! It's a solid little thing.. '98 Dakota V6 Magnum, 3.93's with 31x10'5s. No mods yet. Been tying to talk dad into putting a glass pack on it.

MY FIRST SNOWMAN!! Me and the 'rents made it. it's wearing my Ford cap!!
Nah, I'm not college stuff. I'm just happy I made it through highschool! haha. I just work now. Where are you from??
Thanks Steve!!

I hope I can get some better pictures soon.
Sounds like its time to take one of your trucks out and find a nice big empty parking lot to do some donuts in. Pretty soon you'll be like the rest of us sliding sideways around corners on purpose and driving sideways for a couple hundred yards down the street

Snow is pretty fun to drive in once you get the hang of it.

Man it's all a trip, I'm loving it so far. The best part about all of this is that this much snow isn't NORMAL for here. I shouldn't have to worry about getting to work every year. My biggest threat is Ice on all the friggin' bridges around here. It's a comforting though knowing I won't have to deal with this much snow every year; I can just kick back and enjoy it this year! We might get a few more inches today. If I see something cool I'll try and take pictures for you all but I doubt I'll see anything you all haven't! haha!
Heck, I can take a video with my little Flip. Maybe I'll do that instead.

I hope you're working now. Everyone and their dog is getting laid off.

NJ redneck - just give it some time man. Save a little money, plan ahead, and move on over here!
I'm going to try and take a video a little later of the mini-qad course I made outback. I'm not sure how to take the video and drive at the same time tho. Ah, heck. Who needs brakes!?
