I've got a '69 F100 with a 302 from a '74 or '75 car. I just got an MSD 5, Blaster 2 Chrome coil, and Accel Armor Shield wires. My question is, will this box work if I put electronic ignition in? I currently have points, but was planning on trying to put electronic ignition in. The MSD 5 says that it will not work with magnetic pickup. Will the electronic ignition I put in have magnetic pickup? This may be an unnecessary question, but I'd like to find out for sure, before I put the MSD on and find out I really needed the 6A. Thanks.
Call MSD. Tell them which set-up you have,Distributer eng. and year and anything alse and they will be able to direct you. Their number should be on the box, ask for tech support. The horses mouth.
