Okay, well I bought the fuel filter kit from the International Dealer in town. The guy could not look it up on his computer, so I had to tell him the part number (cell phones rock now days).
Anyways, this is what he gave me. Is this the right part? And what is up with the black spots? I asked him about that before I left and he said they all had them. So I figure this was the last kit. LOL
So, please let me know your thoughts before I change out the filters.
No that is not the right filter set up. The lower fiter should have the aqua guard media wrapped around it. You need a filter kit made by IH, Motorcraft or racor. Racor makes them for all of the above.
That is what I thought, just wanted to make sure. I assumed it would say International on it, not Fleetgaurd. Another guy on here said that is where he buys his filters, so I assumed it was good. The guy at the dealer obviously did not know what the deal is.
Definately take them back and tell them you want part number 1847170C93. This will get you what you are after.
All they did was cross-reference the Ford part number you gave them to Fleetguard. When going to a International dealer it is best to know the part number(s) for what you are after and never mention Ford.

Thanks for the correct Intl PN...I'll update my database.
