Anyone running these on their V10? My buddy was looking into a set for is 04. Or do you recommend another brand? He is not looking for cheap, he is looking for HP
Absolutely not. Gibson headers are crap. Look into Doug Thorley, Banks, or even ebay headers. You want a thick flange so that they don't warp and create an exhaust leak.
Unless Thorley quit making them there are several of us here that have them. I went to Thorleys site and they don't list them for an 04. I know DKF has them and I think his is an 04.

It's hit and miss on ebay for the cheap JVT headers. I have noticed, they have gone up in price considerably. I originally purchased two sets for $120 each. I see now they are up to $200+.
I do have another set that had one damaged primary tube (dented, cracked and welded) and the other header is unused. They could be "reappropriated" if someone would like them. PM me.
I'm running Gibson shorty headers on my 99 V10. I have not had any warpage as of yet. The engine is breathing easier and am now able to cruise at 65 with ease. Fuel milage is staying the same, but I'm now traveling at a constant 65 instead of 60.
There were Gibsons on my ex when I purchased it. In fact I found I had them just by chance one day. I have no idea how long they have been on the ex, but from the looks of them and from the history of early modifacation to the truck I think they have been there from almost day one. They are a bit rusty but look solid, no holes, no leaks and once the Y pipe was opened up and my gears were changed the V10 revs up fast and screams.
