Building a 302 for a van project and looking to get good low end power but not sure what intake to look for. I am using flat top 4 valve relief pistons will be looking for gt40 (non p) heads that will have some bowl work done but not much port work. Question is what intake should I look for to get good low end numbers?
any dual plane aluminum intake would do the job. edelbrock and weiand make great intakes. stay away from single plain. depending on your cam selection a 600 cfm carb would work great for a street application.
Well, we were talking about tourqer2 but I am really not sure. the gt40 heads(p) flow if I remember 46 on both ports I think that was the highest stok head flow numbers we saw. Next question is the GT40P heads are different due to spark plug holes? can anyone show a pick of the diff heads and why headers are a problem with the P heads? I found a bunch of P heads, but not the non P for sale in my area.

Plugs come out at pretty close to a right angle to the head which leaves very little room for headers and plug wires.
