Couple W7 questions for you, Roland...
1) How long have you been running the W7?
2) How did the "upgrade" proces go fo you?
3) Have you seen any glitches with software compatibility?
4) Anything in particular you would recommend for someone who's considering the upgrade?
I have a new laptop that's only two months old, and it came with XP-Pro loaded with a Windows Recovery Disk that would let me switch to Vista and then upgrade to W7 if I wanted, but I've stayed with XP-Pro thus far.

From what I have found XP sails along pretty good on 2 gigs of memory and Vista needs 4 gigs to survive 8 gigs would be much better .I haven't spent any time with 7

I have 4 GB ram... maxed out.
EDIT... check that... I thought I had 4GB... actually have 3GB.
The MS website says that you need 1 GB to run W7, but 2GB is better. Something tells me that I should probably NOT take that at face value.
