I've looked at the dfuser filter kit but depending on the cost of the repairs it might have to wait. It seems with these trucks one thing leads to another
I just put one on today. I just made my own. Looks and works good. I probably have about $75 in it. Not bad for real. Sometimes it sure seems like when the truck runs great something pops up and screws things up. Make sure the shop flush's the coolant system with the right stuff and put on a new TS. Hopefully it didn't plug the oil cooler or anything else. Make sure they use the right coolant as well. Seems like all the liquids this truck takes HAS to be the right stuff or you are going to get into trouble. Hope all works out for you.Eric

No offense but you have been on this site for over 3 years and the sand and debris in the coolant system can't be new to you. Yes it might be alot of money on top of the repairs but it's possible you could have prevented this 3 years ago. Going to school does no good if you don't apply what you learn!
If you are doing it yourself I would pull the water pump while access is easy, and check that the plastic impeller is tight and bearings feel good. Same with tensioner and idler pulleys.
