Well I have replaced floors, cab corners, and doors on my cab and finally found a Flairside bed for my 1977 F150, I couldnt find a 73-79 bed so had to go and get an 1985 bed(2 actually)to get all the parts I need for the swap. One of the beds came with the frame and the gas tank still there. My truck has a rear mounted gas tank which I want to keep and the Flairside has a front mount tank. I bought the second bed so I could get the gas fill door and neck off of the glass fender and mount it in the other one for the dual doors for the second tank. What all will I need to make my truck a dual tank fed system. For being able to switch tanks and get my dual gauges to work on the single indicator in the dash? Any help or photo's would be appreciated.
BJ the one truck that I have owned that had dual tanks, had a switch on the bottom of the dash for tank selection, and there was only one guage. You should be able to get a donor switch, switch block and line setup from a truck with dual tanks.

Thanks for the reply, I will start junk yard hopping on my week off starting Thursday. May get lucky...... I am about due for some good luck with this thing.LOL....
I had a 74 f-250 with dual tanks and there were two switches; the one on the dash only controlled the gauge and then there was a manual valve on the floor between the end of the bench seat and the door that actually switched the tank. With that said the 77 f-250 I have now only has one switch on the dash that switches the gauge and the tanks (I beleive it uses an electric solenoid valve) this is the one I would go for not only easier to hook up but also more conveniant.
You can get a dpdt (double pole, double throw) switch and an electric valve from JC Whitney. The switch will allow the gauge to read either tank.
