Steering wheel vibration/jerk

i usually notice it more when my truck is running cold, were i live, every road is pretty much a highway, so around 7 when im on my way to school and im on the highway goin about 70 my steering wheel has this strong vibration in it, not extremely strong but, still notice-able it's not constant, only does it when i turn the wheel slightly to keep going strait. does it some when its warmed up depending on speed of the turn.

Bought the truck used 5 months ago with 82800 miles now has 90900, got an oasis report and at 7505 miles original owner had it at the shop "for a clunk in left front wheel while backing up", tech comment says "found front crossmember at fault, loosed and retorqued hardware, road test and verify repairs, driven 5 miles.

Any ideas?????

Start with simple things:

Pressure wash all dirt mud crud off wheels, etc.

Check tire balance, brake rotor etc.

If everything checks (play around wiht tires to minimize use of wheel weights).....

Then check alignment, tire for irregular wear.

Then check for shocks, springs, wear on the bushings, etc..

Make sure everything lines up at alignment shop.

Check whatever was fixed last time (front crossmember) and see if it broke again.

what does the crossmember look like? is it the long steel pole that connects each tire?
