Heres the skinny on the electric windshield washer as it pertains to 66 models...
The design was changed from the button to the pull for squirt switch for 66...However early 66 trucks that got 65 cabs have the button over the ignition switch...other differences between 65 and 6 cabs...65--- gas pedal bolted to floor(look for nutplates under cab if the truck was assembled with the suspended pedal...betcha they are there..).
The cowl plugs are different too...65 had metal plates secured with 2 #2 Phillips screws diagonal of each other. 19966 and later had the oval rubber plugs that simply popped in.

Don, get that Squire oughtta your mind, cuz you're losing it.

This reference inre to the electric windsheld washers only pertains if they were factory installed.

Since w/shield washers were an option, dealers offered another electrical version that operated off a foot pump that was bolted to the tow board.

There was one more dealer installed washer kit, a manually operated foot pump., also bolted to the tow board.

TEXT, Section 97, Page 13: How many different accelerator assy's do you see listed for 1966 F Series Trucks?

Would you believe that there are 10, and they are all different?

For example, how about this puppy: C5TZ9725Z .. Accelerator Assy.

Fits: 1965 F100/250 2WD from serial number 696,001 / 1966 F100/250 2WD.

This means that 31,999 1965 F100/250 2WD's came with the suspended accelerator pedal.

The suspended pedal pad itself is C5AZ9735D, also fits 1965/67 Galaxie/LTD's & 1966/77 Bronco's.

Bill...My # is 700 and change...with bolted pedal, washer button above the ign. switch and screwed cowl access plugs...
Remember that ultra early 66 I was looking at buying a while back...65 cab...had the suspended pedal though...but I looked under...virgin unused nutplates for the pedal...also had screwed plugs and the button on top of the switch...
Ive seen a few like that...saw another 66 in bone yard years ago I got a PERFECT blue seat out of...cept it had a C-O-M on it...and fluid peed all over...anyway...that was the same way cept its pedal was the 65 pedal...bolted to the floor...
As to the washers alone...the OP mentioned the button and the wiper switch versions...werent those both factory installed...I have always been of the belief they are...
windshield washers were standard equipment on all except cowls...
F100s however had a washer delete option...not so on the F250s or F350s or F100 4WD...an oddity if you ask me...thats from the salesman facts book I have.
Just for sheets and giggles I looked up what it said regarding washers for E100, Bronco and Ranchero as they are also in the book...all had them except Ranchero..wasnt even offered from the factory...I would assume any that have them were dealer installed.

This pertains to electric washers though...not the foot pump Bill has mentioned...I have seen a few of those...been ages though.

BTW..car arrived yesterday...

That's hogwash. "Who goofed, I've got to know?!" -Howard Cosell.

A 1965 Ranchero is a Falcon, which came with single speed wipers-w/o w/shield washers. Two speed wipers were available with (electric) windshield washers as an option.

The two speed washer kit was also available at the parts counter:

C4DZ17A603A .. Two Speed WIper Washer Kit-Electric / Fits: 1964/65 Falcon.

Also available at the parts counter was this kit:

C1RZ17A603A .. Universal W/Shield Washer Kit-Electric / Use with One Speed Wipers.

Fits: 1961/66 F100/1100 / 1960/67 Falcon/Comet / 1961/67 Econoline / 1962/67 Fairlane / 1962/63 Mercury Meteor / 1965/66 Mustang / 1966/67 Bronco.

Just for S&G, I dug up this p/n: C3TZ17A603A .. W/Shield Washer Kit-Foot Operated / Fits: 1963/66 F100/1100.

Don't bother looking...no one has the C1RZ or C3TZ kits.
