Cheapest place to get cab patch panels

Hello,

I just picked up a 58 f-100 for my wife and I am going to need to replace the cab corners, rockers, steps, and the front cab mounts. I have seen a few places sell the cab corners and step parts, but I haven't been able to find the front cab mounts or the flat flooring. Can someone point me in the right direction. Also if anyone has a good link to articles on replacing these parts I would love to read them. I am starting with a pretty clean truck, but the previous owner was set on making a rat rod and made some questionable repairs. So, I would rather cut it out and start new. I can get some pics if anyone like to see what I need. Thanks.

Pictures are always helpful, sometimes you don't need to pay for a spendy patch panel when a normal piece of plate steel will do the trick.

There is a member here who makes patch panels. whether he makes them for your year is another matter.

His FTE name is "reamer." You may want to look fo rhis items in the classifieds (where he says he has them listed) or send him an e-mail. You need 25 posts to send Private Messages (PMs)

One of the vendors here

should have them.

It's been quite a while since I looked into patch panels so I can't give you a fast answer to narrow down the vendors. I'm pretty sure LMC has them, although they've "improved" their web site and made it a real PITA to look things up.

You probably won't find the front cab corners. We had to fad mine on my 58. I bought the floor panels, steps and kick panels from LMC truck. lmctruck.com They have a 57-72 truck catalog as well as on-line shopping. There are also several other Vendors that have some replacement panels. I have some pic's on my gallery of the work I have done on mine.

Thanks for all the replies. I have looked at several of the FTE sponsors and think I may get parts from multiple places. I did find one company online that lists several panels including the front cab braces very reasonably. http://www.classicfabrication.com. Anyone have any experience with them? Thank you.

I bought front cab supports from Classic Fabrication they were'nt exactly like the factory ones they are flat and not stepped like the factory but there was enough of the factory ones on my cab I just cut what I needed and welded them in.
