need info on Detroits
i have a 1982 ford C9000 and was wondering what motor was in it all i know is it is a detroit. and was wondering what it was worth it has less than 28,000 miles and less than 8,200 hours of use. i have another one out of a 1986 Darley with a detroit in it also and dont know the exact size. but it has i think around 65,000 on it. if you know what they are worth please post in this thread or if you are interested in buying one let me know at zaknave@yahoo.com

The engine could be an 8V71 or 8V92. Could also be a 92T if it has a turbo. I did a quick search and found 2 1982's for $4,800 each. 300hp Detroit, 7 sp in good condition is what the ad says.
Cabover trucks are not much in demand although the drive train may be. What they are worth I think would depend on how bad someone needed a good running complete engine or other parts.
