Fuel Filler idea
This bed is the style where the fuel door and cap are one in the same. Now, when i make a hard right turn, the fuel sloshes to one side of the tank, and runs down the bed out of the filler. Plus, on the tank, the vent line is located behind the filler hose, but on the bed, the vent is in front of the filler, so the hoses are swapping over each other to work. So here's my solution: i'm simply gonna remove the filler off of the outside of the bed, weld in a sheetmetal patch, spin the filler around and cut a hole in the inside of the bed to route it through. Then i'm gonna make a small sheetmetal overhang to keep rain out the filler and cap it with an aftermarket locking cap. This will end the fuel slosh out of the tank, and the hoses will be on the correct side. Tell me what you think of this idea. I also want to give the outside a more clean look. I'm gonna shave the handles, but that's for another post.
