I have a 78 Bronco. Haven't ran it in a few years, just started getting it road ready again. I was checking all the lights and turn signals. The reverse lights and brake lights don't work......... but the turn signals do. I checked the brake switch, and it is in working order.
Anyone been in this situation? Or do I just need to trace the wiring front to back looking for a break or short somewhere? Any help is appreciated!
Welcome to FTE and the Big Bronco Forum. We will endeavor to get you the most accurate information we can muster.
If the brake lights don't work but the brake light switch does, you've got a wiring harness issue somewhere between them. Back-up lights trigger via the neutral safety switch or the reverse switch depending on whether you have a manual or automatic transmission. Check fuses first before you go digging into the wiring harness though.

I figured as much. Was hoping it was something simple. I guess I will tackle it this weekend. Thanks Greystreak.
