Floor coverings
Well I've known for a while that I need to sand my floor boards down in the 73 and spray them in bed liner to protect them. I wanted to remove the factory vinyl floor mat then reinstall it afterwards. I tried to peel it back a little bit today to see what would happen, it just crumbled away.
I've been looking at the products LMC has. I don't want carpet since thats not what it had.
I looked at the rubber floor mats that are supposed to be original replacement, but they only have them in black, mine is green.
Then I seen the 1/8 thick molded industrial polyvinyl floor mats that already have insulation under the passenger area. It is black but I think I would like it alot better than the orginal replacement.
What do yall guys think? Any places thats got better stuff, maybe some color options?

I know I said I don't really want carpet but I just looked at some stuff BroncoGraveyard has to offer. High quality replacement carpeting from ACC in Jade green, the color that I need. I can get it for 122.87 thats including shipping.
Anybody ever had BroncoGraveyard's carpet for a regular cab truck? That is a good price I think.

The carpet in my supercab was from ACC and it fit about 95%, probably would have fit perfect but I added more insulation under it. It ended up being short on the edges by about 1/2" in the driver corner by the dimmer switch. I just trimmed a piece off up high and glued it in, can't tell. Besides that the quality and color were just right. Jade green was the same color and matched a piece that was under the seat great. A lot of people sell ACC so just look around, but Jeff's is a sponsor.

The BODY Code is listed on the Warranty Plate, when posted and decoded, it will define the type and color of the upholstery.
For original upholstery, try smsautofabrics.com.

The seat and floor mat are green, along with dash pad and door panels. It may not be jade green, but it is a darkish green. Kinda looks like the limestone poly green. The painted interior pieces are the real light green. I bought the truck from the original owner and he is 90yrs old said he never changed nothin on the truck.

ACC, or Auto Custom Carpets, claims to offer carpeting that meets or exceed oem specs. Really? How do they know what the oem specs were?
A year ago I restored a 1986 Blazer and ordered ACC carpets. Sent them back because the fit was very poor. The carpet itself was much thinner and lighter weight than the original carpeting (made by J.P. Stevens Co.). So much for "meets or exceeds oem specs"!
I related this to a good friend of mine who told me many people complain about [the lack of] ACC's quality on the Mustang forums he participates in. The conventional wisdom on those forums is to take your faded oem carpeting and have it dyed. My carpeting was faded and stained in a few places so I had mine dyed as well. I think it looks much better than before, and better than the carpeting offered by ACC. And it does "meet oem specs"!

"High quality replacement carpeting from ACC..." That's a contradiction!
