18" and 17" wheels: is there a difference in bolt pattern?

I want a set of snow tires and wheels. My truck has 18" wheels. Will a set of 17" f150 wheels fit my hubs? It's a 04 FX4 SCAB.
Yea, I know, the tire sizes will change my speedo...

yep.....your fine...you can get 17,18 or 20 inch wheels off of 04-10 F-150's and they'll fit just fine....

What if the wheels came off an earlier model truck? Did they change the bolt pattern?

yep...can't get them off of anything newer than 2004...and the 2004 heritage models won't work either....

A little more searching on the net tells me I have a 6x135 bolt pattern, in case anyone else needs these specs...
